Saipem, one of the worldwide leaders from Italy in the oil & gas contracting services sector, both onshore and offshore, is currently managing the Kaombo Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units in Indonesia.
Kaombo is said to be the first project on the ultra-deepwater offshore Block 32, located off the Angolan coast being launched in 2014 and the topsides fabrication activities are carried out in Saipem’s Karimun Island Yard, located in Indonesia. The tankers conversion and the topsides modules integration will be executed at a shipyard in the Far East.
